Nutrients Under Tongue

There are veins under the tongue that are closer to the surface of the skin than anywhere else in the body. Therefore, substances may be absorbed from under the tongue, straight into the blood stream, faster than any way except injection. This is why Homeopathics, pills or liquids, are held under the tongue when taken.
Studies done on people in famine situations showed that people who chewed what little food was available, until it was liquid, had a much higher rate of survival than those who gobbled their food. Nutrients were able to be absorbed directly under the tongue instead of traveling through the digestive before being distributed by the blood.
Chewing food well, and getting the jump on assimilating what the body needs, also lets people know when they are full much sooner, a great way to feel satisfied with less food.
