Tinnitus

Tinnitus, in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) is most commonly caused by Kidney Deficiency, or a decline in the energetic function of the kidney channel. The kidney energy, in TCM, has to do with the ears, many aspects of growth and development as children mature, and signs of aging as people get older.
Damage from long term over-exposure to loud noises can also cause tinnitus. If there is structural damage chances are TCM won't help, but for many, Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal formulas can be a solution to a very annoying problem.
