Adrenal Fatigue

      Adrenal Fatigue is the result of stress. When the body is under physical, mental or emotional stress the adrenals kick in, again and again, until the stress is relieved. But in our busy world there are times that the stress never ceases. One more thing comes along to deal with, that is just over the top, and the adrenals essentially say, "That's it! I'm done! You do what ever the heck you want. I am on vacation!" When that happens, it is hard to get out of bed in the morning. People are exhausted as soon as they wake up. Exercise makes them more tired. Life in general can seem to be too much of an effort. Simple tasks like brushing teeth, getting dressed, making something to eat, can feel like monumental tasks. It feels like one's inner core is missing, like there is no support from the inside out, or the rug was pulled out from under the feet. When the body is physically stressed it results in emotional stress as well, so adrenal fatigue and depression usually go hand in hand.
