Kale & Artichoke Heart Sauté
Kale is great for the thyroid, for people with blood type O, the most prevalent blood type. Garlic is antiviral, antibacterial, ad antifungal. Artichokes are also great for type O's. For more information on blood type : Eat Right for Your Type by Dr. Peter D'Adamo.
1/2 package frozen artichoke hearts, thaw under hot water and drain well
kale 10 leaves, shredded , can use spinich, turnip, collargreens... or combination
1/2 onion, sliced thhin
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 shallot, optional
sea salt, sea salt has less sodium than regular salt, and contains all the minerals in the body
olive oil
Sauce:
1/8 cup Braggs Amino Acid or Tamari wheat free soy sauce
1/8 cup brown rice vinegar
1/8 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
* This is a traditional sauce for potstickers. Add water if too salty.
Heat oil in large frying pan, or wok, medium high heat. Add onion, garlic and shallot. Sprinkle with sea salt. (This helps carmelize the onions and brings out the flavor of vegetables.) Cook until slightly soft. Add Kale and artichoke hearts. Cook until kale is slightly wilted. Add sauce, stir and serve. Enjoy!
